Mohammadmahdi Mostafavinia

Mehdi Mostafavinia studied Religious Studies at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. In 2026, he received his Master's degree with a thesis focusing on the analysis of metaphors in the Middle Persian text Dādestān ī Mēnōy ī Xrad. He is currently working as a research associate at CERES within the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1475 "Metaphors of Religion." He is affiliated with subproject C05, which investigates how the concept of religion was understood and expressed in late antique Iran, focusing on dēn as a term for religion and religion-related concepts in Zoroastrian and Manichaean Middle Persian texts.
