CRC 1391 “Different Aesthetics”

The CRC 1391 “Different Aesthetics” (University of Tübingen) investigates aesthetic concepts in premodern cultures and the historical semantics of aesthetic vocabulary. As part of their collaboration, the CRC 1391 and the CRC 1475 maintain an intensive scholarly exchange that includes joint conferences and workshops on historical vocabulary and metaphors, as well as the joint development of digital annotation techniques. >> More information

CRC 1646 “Linguistic Creativity in Communication”

The CRC 1646 “Linguistic Creativity in Communication” (University of Bielefeld) systematically investigates linguistic creativity in everyday communication, including metaphors, in order to understand its characteristics, mechanisms, limitations, and effects, and to develop a comprehensive theory of linguistic creativity at the individual and collective levels. Based on these parallels and numerous working meetings, a cross-CRC working group has been formed.
