Productive Writing in Monastic Silence

Disconnect, focus, write – ten CRC members took advantage of the tranquil atmosphere at Kloster Steinfeld to work intensively on their academic projects.

Dedicating oneself entirely to the writing process—free from everyday distractions: With this goal in mind, selected CRC members embarked on their writing retreat last week. In the inspiring silence of Kloster Steinfeld in the Eifel region, ten fellows seized the opportunity to make significant progress on their dissertations, academic articles, and presentations.

The monastic setting, delicious food, and stunning scenery provided the perfect conditions for productive writing. The time saved from everyday tasks like cooking and commuting was spent on writing (of course!) and refreshing walks along the picturesque Eifelsteig.

The verdict: highly recommended!
