Metaphors Around the World

At the start of the semester break, we sent our team off on holiday together with our metaphor stickers.

And the stickers have certainly got around: photos reached us from mountain tops and beaches, from remote islands, from colourful cities and from right next door, in the Ruhr area, the "Pott".

Under the hashtag #MoReAroundTheWorld, we documented the journey on Instagram, always with a guessing question about where the photo was taken. Can you tell from our picture collage where the stickers have been?

If not, here's the solution: they made stops on two continents. In Europe, they went to Paris, Norway and the Estonian island of Saaremaa, to Domburg in the Netherlands, the Italian Alps and the Bregenzerwald. They also travelled within Germany, to the Leipzig Neuseenland, to Tübingen and, twice, to the Ruhr region, to Dortmund and Recklinghausen. In Asia, they turned up in Jerusalem and at Tel Shaddud in Israel, and finally in Indonesia.

Many thanks to everyone who diligently sent in photos!

Now the semester break is over and the new semester has begun, so things will be a little quieter for the stickers. But the journey isn't over: in the future, too, we'll keep sending our stickers on tour with the team. So keep your eyes open. Who knows where they'll turn up next!
