Embodiment außerhalb des Körpers? Außerkörperliche Erfahrungen in kognitions- und sozialwissenschaftlicher Perspektive
Im Mittelpunkt des Forschungsprojekts stehen Metaphern in Beschreibungen von „Out-of-Body-Experiences“. Diese werden Texten verschiedener antiker Kulturen entnommen (Alter Orient, Persien, Griechenland, Rom, Indien, China, hebräische Bibel). Das Projekt verbindet den kommunikativen Ansatz des SFBs mit kognitiven Ansätzen, die sowohl in der allgemeinen Metaphernforschung als auch in der Religionswissenschaft relevant sind. ‚Embodiment‘ und Metapher bilden die Kernkonzepte, deren theoretische Reichweite und Tragfähigkeit in einer Triangulation zwischen kognitiven und sozialwissenschaftlichen Methoden untersucht werden.
