 rs\, some of them explicitly in the form of simile. Particularly conspicuo
 us is their prevalence in the report about the netherworld\, where they il
 lustrate the dependence of the fate of the deceased on the number of his d
 escendants. However\, metonymies also form an important element without wh
 ich this passage cannot be adequately understood. Textual examples will be
  used to demonstrate specific challenges of metaphor annotation when meton
 ymies are also at play.\n\n
