DESCRIPTION:How can you transform your dissertation into a published book?
 \nThis workshop provides guidance for doctoral students in the humanities 
 on developing successful publication strategies. In this workshop\, partic
 ipants will gain insights into the requirements and formalities at the Ruh
 r University Bochum (Faculty of Philology) and explore different publicati
 on options: from digital uploads and open access to self-financed publicat
 ions in Germany and collaborations with international publishing houses.\n
 Carla Hansmann and Nicole Ihme (Universitätsbibliothek Bochum) will prese
 nt the submission regulations and open access services for dissertations a
 t RUB and explain the publication process and funding opportunities. Andre
 w Prashanth\, Senior Editor for Religious Studies at Palgrave Macmillan\, 
 will present his publication series and guide participants through the ste
 ps from submitting a book proposal to seeing the final product published. 
 In addition\, Prof. Dr Anna Neumaier (CERES) will discuss publication stra
 tegies and academic publishers focusing on Religious Studies in Germany an
 d share experiences and advice with the participants.\n\n \n \n
